DescriptionIn Bonifatius players take the roles of the leading figures of the Anglo-Saxon mission in the early middle ages. Each player tries to christianize people in Europe and become a saint at the end of the game. They travel throughout Europe on a modular board and get points of "holiness" for their missionary actitivities. Each player has two actions per turn to travel, collect food, find travelling companions, meet the king, found a monastery on the continent or a diocese. They can even try to die as a "martyr" to gain extra points of holiness.
