    Description

Borscht! is a set collection and strategy card game for 3-4 players ages 8 and up.

Players become Cossack peasants competing to complete a pot of traditional borscht (beet soup) while fending off the marauding tartars and sandy mole rats. In this society, economy is king--the Cossack with the cheapest borscht wins.

Game components include 101 Borscht! cards, 4 action and recipe cards,4 player identification cards, 20 coins in an old sock, and a six-sided die.

Each character identity has special abilities (such as the "Baboushka" (wise woman) whose negotiating skills allow her to buy commodities below market value. After all players have used their identities, the cards are rotated, creating a new balance of power in the game.
