Brave and Noble Fights: The Battles of the Yalu and Wei-Hai-Wei, 1894-1895
DescriptionThe work is designed by Paul Rohrbaugh and published by High Flying Dice Games. Graphics are by Bruce Yearian. This is a two games in one package on the decisive battles of the First Sino-Japanese War. The Battle of the Yalu uses the same design as in Paul's earlier games on the Battles for Santiago (Death Before Dishonor) and Manila Bay (A Brilliant Combat). The Battle of Wei-Hai-Wei game uses his card-draw design (several postcard "Pocket Battle" as well as other High Flying Dice games). Both easily play in about an hour and are well suited for solitaire as well as face-to-face play. They are easy to learn and have a number of variant and optional rules. Each copy of Brave and Noble Fights includes three 11 by 17 inch maps, 135 single-sided, unmounted counters and 12 pages of rules and charts.
