    Description

Castle Rising is a German-style board game in which you choose an economic strategy to try to create the most prosperous kingdom. Players acquire resources (food, wood, stone, metal and gold) to train troops and construct buildings to earn benefits at different stages of the game and victory points to win the game.

Players can acquire resources in three ways, the main one being through your peasants, with each player starting with three. You decide which resources to produce, but some are easier to get than others, so you can play it safe or risk trying for a few more precious resources. You can also gain resources through rangers, which you must first train, which takes several units of food and wood.

The last way to gain resources is through the bidding phase. Each turn, all players bid secretly on one of five different resource bundles.
