Description

Players separate the cards into 2 piles, 'Categories' and 'Letters'. One player (anyone) flips over a category and reads it to everyone. Then she flips over a letter card. The first person to call out something that fits the category and starts with the revealed letter takes the letter, and that counts as one point. 2nd letter is then revealed (for the same category), and again, the first person to call out something that starts with the letter and fits the category takes the letter as a point. Then a new category is revealed, and play continues, playing 2 letters for each (1) category. Play continues until all 52 letter cards are gone. The player that has collected the most letters at the end, wins!

Sometimes, a letter comes up with a category with a category and no one can think of anything. Anyone, at any time, can call "Katootsie!" and start the Katootsie! timer app (a free app you can download for your phone). This starts a 10 second timer. If no one thinks of an answer before the time runs out, the person that called Katootsie! gets the letter. But if someone does think of an answer before the timer runs out, that person wins the letter and also steals one letter from the person that called Katootsie!
Other rules: Q, X and Z can appear anywhere in the word (not just at the beginning), and it's shown on the card for clarity.
If there is a tie, ONLY the people that tied pull a 2nd letter and compete for that, and the winner takes both letters.
Proper nouns are generally allowed unless otherwise indicated.
