Nation: A Mighty Spark is a worker placement strategy card game that takes place on a planet where bugs have evolved into the dominant species.

Players place worker tokens onto a modular map, made of cards, that begin hidden but are revealed as they explore. For each worker placed one of five actions is chosen: The Battle action allows players to modify populaces and civilian cards on the table. The Build action allows placement of populaces onto map cards. The Develop action allows placement of civilian cards from your hands on to the table: providing food for more workers, building materials for populaces and military might. The Draw actions allow players to draw more cards into their hand. The Explore action allows for the revealing of face down map cards.

Players continue taking turns until the civilian draw deck depletes. Victory points are counted based upon the number of civilians in play, populace control and military might.
