The Fortuna expansion set contains 164 new cards with 328 headlines of News, Rumours, and Acts of God. One Fortuna card is turned over before specific stages in the game and affects the players accordingly. Headlines include grain handler's strikes, floods destroying crops, oil well fires, and mine explosions. Acts of God headlines include earthquakes, typhoons, and diseases. Rumour headlines can drive the market prices of grain, oil and minerals up or down.
