    Description

Each player has nine pawns. Two players may play as allies. The goal of the game is to score points by entering the citadel in the center of the game board an by capturing enemy pieces.

Movement is one space per turn in any direction, but not diagonal. The pawns may capture enemies by jumping over them. Capture in mandatory if possible. Allied pawns may be jumped over but are not captured. Jumping over pawns of the same color is not permitted.

Pawns that reach the citadel are put out of the game, if they are not compelled to leave right away to capture an enemy pawn. Captured pawns are exchanged and reenter the game on the spaces of the same color.

The game ends, when one allied party has no pawn left on the board or, if there are no allies, when only pawns of one color remain on the board.
