    Description

It Came From Below is an expansion for Titan that introduces a resident extra-terrestrial! Miners will have to deal with the Alien as it moves around the crater, performing a variety of helpful or disruptive acts.
Each turn, players will have the option of controlling the Alien and using its powers. However, exactly what it does is determined randomly at the start of each game, and how you choose to use it is up to you...

It Came From Below! brings new extraterrestrial elements to Titan which open up a wealth of strategic possibilities! Each turn, the active player will have the option of activating and controlling the Alien by performing a certain trigger action. They will then be able to move and act with it, using it as they see fit. As well as having its own specific power to use, the Alien can spawn Sprogs onto Rigs it is present on, which will interact with them in a variety of ways.

The expansion also introduces a new Rig type; Alien Pools; which produce their own mysterious resource called Alien Crystals.

The Alien itself and all of its related elements each have unique effects which are determined by the Alien Tableau. This Tableau is made up of the Alien tiles, which are drawn randomly at the start of the game.

The Brain Tile determines when the Alien is “Activated”, meaning the triggering action that a player must perform in order to be able to use it.

The Tentacle Tile determines the Alien’s special ability, which it can perform as an Action.

The Sprog Tile determines the effect of Alien Sprogs when they are spawned onto a Rig.

The Crystal Tile determines the properties of Alien Crystal Resources.

There are 5 tiles of each type, and the random generation of the Alien Tableau means that you’ll rarely come up against the same Alien twice! The effects can be good or bad, so you’ll have the choice of using the Alien to your own benefit, or turning it against your opponents...
