    Description

1431, Ming Dynasty China - In years past you had joined Admiral Zheng He multiple times across the seven seas, compelling faraway kingdoms to submit to the Chinese Empire. Even more than treasures, you had also brought prestige and legitimacy to Emperor Yongle. But nine years have already passed since the last voyage and opposition is mounting from bureaucrats who now see these ventures as a useless drain on the imperial coffers. Are you ready to set sail one last time to write the grandest chapter of all?

In Ultimate Voyage: When China Ruled the Seas, players assume roles as captains in the treasure fleet of Zheng He. Each of the 6 player characters has a different backstory, abilities, and initial resources.

Based on your action strength and the dice results that represent the wills of the 3 deities, you must carefully decide what 3 actions to take in each of the 7-10 rounds:?

    • Sail: Navigate your ships through changing wind directions and storms in a modular map board that recreates historical locations;?

    • Trade: Exchange your porcelain for native goods, exotic animals, precious manuscripts, and religious scrolls in the 15 ports;?

    • Diplomacy: Influence kingdom affiliations to establish tributary relations with Ming China;?

    • Combat and Construction: Use your troops in military endeavors, build structures that facilitates your future actions;?

    • Scout and Explore: Look out for potential dangers and opportunities in each location, gain knowledge about strange and foreign lands.

If you win, you will succeed Zheng He and convince Ming China to push on with seafaring explorations, potentially altering the course of world history.

The game features multiple paths of victory, different end game triggers, a quick game mode and a random map mode for replayability, and rules for solo play.
