DescriptionJump River Summary Jump River is a game of wits for two players. The goal is to have your fish reach the other river without being captured by the cats! But cats beware, dogs are on the prowl to protect their fishy friends. Move the most fish to the opposite riverbank to win!
2 Players All Ages Fish Pieces - These represent your fish and can move in any direction, One space at a time 14 pink 14 Green Cat Pieces - These represent your cats! Use your cats to target the opposition’s fish. 2 Pink 2 Green Dog Piece - Each player has a dog piece! The dog can be used to block or attack cats. 1Pink 1 Green River Race Cards(aka Fish Bowl Cards) - These cards can help you to attack/block an opponent player - among other things! 28 cards Gameboard 10x10 Set-Up To begin each player collects 14 Fish pieces, two Cat pieces, and one Dog piece. Each player should put their 10 Fish in the first-row space closest to their river, and rest their 4 Fishes in the river water by their bank. Dog in the river water by their bank Cats in the river water by their bank Shuffle all the River Race Cards(aka Fish Bowl Cards) and distribute each player 14 cards or equally - Once both players have placed their fish, pieces the game is ready to begin. Rules and Gameplay. Players can move any there fish from the first row to second row then second replace cats first and dogs there wish. Players take turns moving any of their pieces on the board. Each piece moves differently: Dogs can move horizontally or vertically in any distance across the board. They can only attack Cats or other Dogs. Cats can only move diagonally across the board in any distance. They can only attack Fish, not Dogs. Fish can move one space at a time in any direction only 1 cell at a time. In addition: When a Fish is on top of water space, can not attack them for any reason. When a Cat attacks a Fish, the player draws a River Racecard and face up and plays it when it is required in the game. ( opponent players can plan strategies accordingly)
When a Cat attacks a Fish, it is removed from the game (discarded outside of the board). When a Dog attacks a Cat, Cat is removed from the game as well. Based on the rules of play, the game ends when there are no Fish left on the board. The winner is whichever player has moved the most Fish to the opposite river. River RaceDeck : River Racecards are obtained when a player moves their fish to an opponent's water space. They may then draw a card and use it immediately. Once a card is used, it must be discarded from play. Also When a Cat attacks a Fish, the player draws a River Racecard and face up and plays it when it is required in the game. ( opponent players can plan strategies accordingly) Note: Once a card is used, it must be discarded from play. ? Go fish (2 Cards )-–Return the user to an opponent’s fish from their first row. Rules for 4 players update:1 1. Gameboard 2. A) It’s like a split between 2 players. So each player can put their fish, cats and dogs only on his/her 5 columns and 2 rows like an original game 3.
